Overview
Forward Controls Design Enhanced Magazine Release (EMR-HC) features a slightly curved button surface and continuous horizontal serrations for a self-centering feel and inhibited vertical finger movement.
Fitment / Use Notes
- EMR-HC installed height protrudes about 0.08 in above the mag release button fence on most forged receivers.
- Recommended for 7.62mm ARs only due to installed height; it does work on 5.56mm ARs and M16s.
- For defense and duty ARs and M16s, FCD recommends the EMR-H variant with about 0.01 in protrusion.
- For .308 ARs, the EMR-HC allows use of AR15/M16 spec mag catch and ambidextrous mag catch/release; on a .308 AR it will not protrude over the mag release fence.
