Rougher vs. Finisher

  • Rougher: 0.010" (.01") smaller in diameter than the final size; does not cut the throat area. Use when cutting many chambers to save wear on the finish reamer.
  • Finisher: Used for the final chambering pass when cutting fewer chambers.
