Unfortunately, all bases, rings, and actions are not manufactured in perfect alignment with each other. Whether you have a one-piece or two-piece base, the odds are against you that your rings will be in perfect alignment.

Sinclair Scope Ring Lapping Tools are designed to correct misalignment of scope rings. The tool is used to align the rings first, then remove just enough metal from the scope ring bearing surface to fine-tune alignment.

Misaligned rings can bend the scope main tube, causing distortion and requiring excessive windage and elevation to keep the scope centered.

Scope tube diameters / tool options: 1 inch, 30mm, 34mm, 35mm.

Build/material: ground accuracy stock stainless steel with a tolerance of ±0.0005 in.

Included: lapping bars are 10 in long for sufficient stroke length to lap scope rings.
