The LSFA (Low Snag Forward Assist) is a rimless forward assist design from Forward Controls Design for AR-15/M16 platforms. It addresses snagging issues created by ambidextrous charging handles and A2-style forward assist rims by removing the rim and using smooth top and bottom surfaces to mitigate snagging. LSFA also increases plunger surface area with a pad extending inward toward the bore.
