The AR-15 receiver end plate buffer tube castle nut is used to connect the buffer tube to the receiver and prevent nipples from slipping off. This end plate castle nut is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum for a strong, lightweight platform. The end plate castle nut helps prevent nipples from forming and is a crucial part of receiver installation. This end plate castle nut should be installed at each end of the buffer tube (not at each individual end of the buffer tube). Please refer to your manual for proper bolt removal/adjustment.
